20 Collages on old index sheets. 10x17cm

Junctions is a series of 20 collages created over the past year. The last year was quite challenging. Not only did my mother-in-law pass away, but my father was also diagnosed with a terminal illness and died on March 30. Besides all the mourning and pain that comes with such life-shaking events, we also had to clear out two large apartments. Getting deeply involved in the lives of others by sorting through their belongings can be very challenging.

The Junctions series was made over the past year. It felt as though I had lost my creativity for a while, so I started with simple finger exercises to calm myself and avoid losing my mind amidst all the overwhelming events.
